Time:2019-03-16 00:00:00

"We have received two consecutive notifications from EU countries on the quality of garden tools exported from our city." The staff of Jinhua Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau told reporters yesterday.

In February of this year, France notified that a chain saw produced by a company in our city did not comply with relevant directives and standards. In September this year, Germany notified that a chain saw produced by a company in our city did not comply with relevant directives and standards. Statistics show that in 2009, there were 95 export companies in our city, with an export value of 102.58 million US dollars. The exported chain saws were mainly sold to EU countries.

Due to the lack of strict control on product production technology and quality management by some newly-added export enterprises, quality and safety issues are prone to appear. The main reasons are: the selected raw materials are relatively cheap, such as engines, plastic parts, etc., which do not meet European product standards; manufacturers do not understand the relevant regulations of EU countries and blindly export; some manufacturers have irregular channels for obtaining EU certification, and the certification is effective Lack of sex and consistency. In view of the fact that the aforesaid notified products are not listed in the statutory inspection catalog of the inspection and quarantine department, the inspection and quarantine department recommends that local governments organize foreign trade, quality supervision, industry and commerce, customs, and industry associations to jointly study and formulate supervision measures to strengthen quality supervision.
